Under a post, you can display a box with information about its author. For the box visibility and order options, please check the Singe Post Elements page.
Below you will find details of all elements you can find in the author’s box.
1. Follow Button
The Follow button is an integration with the BuddyPress Follow plugin. All you need to do to show the button in the author’s infobox is to activate the plugin.
2. Biographical Info
Information about the author here is from the WP Dashboard > Users > AUTHOR > Biographical Info.
BuddyPress Integration
If you use the BuddyPress plugin, your users can set that info on their own using profile fields, on their Profile > Edit page. To allow that, please do as follows:
- Go to the WP Dashboard > Users > Profile fields page
- Add, to the Base (Primary) group, the field Long Description
If you wish to change that field (e.g. translate it to your language), you have to name the profile field exactly the same.
Let’s say you translated the Long Description to Spanish Descripción Larga. You have to use the exact same name for the profile field in WP Dashboard > Users > Profile fields
Youzer Integration
If you use the Youzer plugin, your users can set that info on their own. The field, on Youzer ‘s profile page, is called Biographical Info.

The ranking is an integration with the myCRED plugin.
4. Badges
The badges are an integration with the myCRED plugin.
5. Social Media Profiles
The social media profiles are an integration with G1 Socials plugin.
