The gallery is a paginated post with an image on every page. It’s a great way to generate more page views on your site.
Setup
To replace the default WordPress gallery with a set of individual images with navigation, please do as follows:
Caution!
To use the automatic pagination, use MUST NOT use any builders like Elementor or WP Bakery Page Builder. The below process has to be done using the WordPress Editor (Gutenberg or Classic Editor)
- Create a new post
- Choose for it the Gallery post format
- Upload a few images to this post (use the Add Media button).
- Insert the gallery shortcode into the post content, via WP Editor
[gallery]- Save and that’s all. The theme will do the rest
