Ad Visibility

By default, an ad assigned to any ad slot is visible under all viewport sizes and on all types of pages. Most often than not, this behavior is not desired. Some ads don’t work on the AMP pages or are not suitable for smaller devices. The AdAce provides a variety of options to adjust the visibility of your ads.

Disable Per Device

If you have an ad that must be hidden on a specific set of devices, please do as follows:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads page
  2. Find on a list the ad you want to configure and click Edit on it
  3. Scroll down to the Disable on devices meta box
  4. Check devices to hide the ad on, from the following list:
    – Disable on desktop
    – Disable on tablet landscape
    – Disable on tablet portrait
    – Disable on phone
    – Disable on AMP

Override Per Device

If you have an ad assigned to an ad slot and you don’t want to hide it per device but replace to load different ad, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads > Settings page
  2. Find on a slot you want to configure and expand it
  3. Choose from the below options:
    – Override Ad On Tablet
    – Override Ad On Mobile
    – Override Ad On AMP
  4. Select a new ad that should be used instead

Homepage

If you want to hide an ad slot on your homepage, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads > Settings page
  2. Find on a slot you want to configure and expand it
  3. Uncheck the option Display on homepage

Single Post Type

To define what single post type your ad slot should be displayed on, please do as follows:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads > Settings page
  2. Find on a slot you want to configure and expand it
  3. Select preferred post types (you can select multiple) in the Display on singular option

Archives

To define what archive pages your ad slot should be displayed on, please do as follows:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads > Settings page
  2. Find on a slot you want to configure and expand it
  3. Select preferred archive types (you can select multiple) in the Display on archive option

Logged In/Out Users

If you want to hide an ad slot for logged in users, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads > Settings page
  2. Find on a slot you want to configure and expand it
  3. Uncheck the option Display for logged in users

Search

If you want to hide an ad slot on the search results page, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads > Settings page
  2. Find on a slot you want to configure and expand it
  3. Uncheck the option Display on search

AMP

If you want to hide an ad slot on AMP pages, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard > Ads > Settings page
  2. Find on a slot you want to configure and expand it
  3. Uncheck the option Display on AMP

If you want to hide an ad on AMP pages, please check the Disable Per Device section above.
