Add Widgets To Sidebars

You can configure your sidebars on the WP Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets page. Just find a widget, click it and select a sidebar you want to place it into.

Custom Sidebars

You can override a sidebar for a single post, category, or tag. To do so, please do as follows:

  • Go to the WP Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets page
  • Use the Add a new sidebar form (screen) to create a custom sidebar
  • Open edition screen of your post/category/tag
  • Find the Sidebar field
  • Select the custom sidebar. The sidebar will be used only for that particular post/category/tag

Conditional Sidebars

If you need more complex logic to display your custom sidebar. Let say you want a sidebar to be loaded just on a specific category and only for mobile devices (screen), we recommend the Custom Sidebars plugin. It’s easy to use, highly trusted and popular plugin.
