Fake Votes

Fake votes functionality allows you to display a certain starting number of votes for every post, so you don’t have to start from 0. This can be set globally or locally for every post.

Auto-Calculation

Automatic votes calculation gets into account post publish date. At first votes counter won’t be equal to value you set as Fake vote count base (see below) but will be only 10% of it. The counter will reach the final value after 30 days which makes it look more natural during post lifetime.

Global Setup

To enable auto-calculation, please do as follows:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard › Settings › Snax panel
  2. Go to the Voting section
  3. Scroll down to the Fake votes section
  4. Set the Count base value to a number to set it globally. Leave the value empty to disable it

Single Post Setup

To set it up for a particular post, please:

  1. On post edition screen, find the Fake votes meta box just below the main post content
  2. Leave the Fake vote count empty to use global setup or set a number of fake votes only for that post

Disable Fakes For New Submissions

To disable fake votes for new posts submitted via Snax frontend uploader, please:

  1. Go to the WP Dashboard › Settings › Snax panel
  2. Go to the Voting section
  3. Scroll down to the Fake votes section
  4. Check the Disable for new submissions option
