The Top 10 is a special menu item, added automatically to the primary navigation.
How Does It Work?
The Top 10 page groups all your enabled lists on one page.
The difference is also in their naming convention. Now, lists labels will be generated based on corresponding dates:
- Today for Trending
- This month for Hot
- All-time for Popular
Setup
To enable links in the Quick Navigation, please do as follows:
- Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Customize panel
- Switch to the Posts › General section
- Check the Enable “Popular” collection box to enable the Popular collection
- Check the Enable “Hot” collection box to enable the Hot collection
- Check the Enable “Trending” collection box to enable the Trending collection
- The Top in menu option set to single
- To show the Top 10 link, please select the corresponding page in the Top posts page select
Missing Pages
If you can’t find the Top 10 page, you need to create it first.
It is a regular WordPress page, so you can create it via WordPress Admin › Pages › Add new interface.
You can add content to that page but it’s not necessary, you can leave it empty.
Location
When the option Top in menu is set to single, the Top 10 menu item is added automatically at the beginning of the primary navigation (topmost screen).
If you prefer to use a layout like on the screen below, where the Top 10 is not prepended to the primary menu, you can use the Header Builder and its Top X Link element.
