Before Content Elements
Below all available elements placed on top of a post, right before post content. Some elements are available only if related plugins are active. Element positions may differ between post templates.
1. Featured Image
Featured images (also called post thumbnails) are images that represent an individual post, page, or custom post type. They are most useful on archive pages, where an image describes best a post content.
For Video post format, you can replace images with embeds.
2. Featured Image Shares
You can enable the share buttons on the featured image via WP Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options >Shares. Adjust the Post Content Images position.
3. Featured Image Caption
Under the featured image you can put a text with explanation, caption, or source credits. To do so, please navigate to a post edition screen, open the featured image popup and fill in the Caption. Any valid HTML is allowed. On the screen we used:

4. Categories
List of categories that the post is assigned to.
5. Flags
List of flags that the post is tagged with. Available flags are:
- Reactions – requires the What’s Your Reaction plugin
- Coupon – requires the AdAce plugin
- Locked – requires the Restrict Content Pro plugin
6. Post Title
A single post regular title.
7. Post Subtitle
A single post subtitle. Requires the WP Subtitle plugin.
8. Avatar
Avatar of a post author.
9. Author
Display name of a post author.
10. Date
One or both of the below dates:
- Publication date
- Modification date
Which date is displayed is controlled by options:
- WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Posts > Single > Date to Display for a single post view
- WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Posts > General > Date to Display for collections (archive views, You May Also Like, etc)
Use the option WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Posts > General > Convert date to time ago to convert dates like November 22, 2019, 10:50 am into strings like a year ago.
11. List Flag
If a post belongs to the Trending, Hot or Popular list, the respective flag will be displayed here. Only the first flag is displayed, in the order Trending, Hot, Popular.
12. Stats – View Count
A number of post views. Requires the WordPress Popular Posts plugin.
To hide the views counter element if the defined threshold value is not reached, please follow these simple steps:
- Go to the WP Dashboard › Appearance › Customize page
- Switch to the Posts › General panel
- Set threshold values for the Hide views option

12. Stats – Vote Count
A number of votes of a post. Requires Snax plugin and the Voting module has to be enabled.

A number of post downloads. Requires the Download Monitor plugin.

12. Stats – Comment Count
A number of post comments. It’s also a link to the comments section (form and comment list) on a single post view.
To hide the comments counter element if the defined threshold value is not reached, please follow these simple steps:
- Go to the WP Dashboard › Appearance › Customize page
- Switch to the Posts › General panel
- Set threshold values for the Hide comments option

Content Elements
Inside post content, along with a regular text and images, you can use the below elements.
Ads
Display the Inside Post Content ads. Read more
Shares on Post Content Images
Post content images, if center-aligned, can be shared. To enable the share buttons on images, please navigate to the WP Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options >Shares and activate the Post Content Images position.
Embeds
Insert YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the others of available embeds.
Self Hosted Video
Load locally stored videos (mp4, ogg, etc).
GIF Player
Insert a GIF image into post content and the theme wraps it within a player. Uncheck the option WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Posts > General > Use GIF player to disable the player and play GIFs in a loop.
Lightbox Gallery
Add the Lightbox Gallery into post content.
Video Playlist
Add the Video Playlist into post content.
After Content Elements
Tags
List of tags that the post is associated with.
Newsletter
Newsletter form. Requires the Mailchimp for WordPress plugin.
Next/Previous Links
Links to the previous and next post. You may choose between:
- links below post content
- fly-in links on top of a post
- both
Pagination
Split a post into pages. Read more
Author Info
Information about post author. Read more
Voting Box
Allow users to vote on a post. Read more
Reactions Voting Box
Allow users to choose a reaction that best expresses their feelings of a post. Read more
Comments
Comment list and form to submit a new comment. Read more

Recommended posts, site-wide recent posts. Read more
Elements Visibility
Almost all of the above elements are optional. You can turn them off using the option WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Posts > Single > Hide Elements. Check the elements you want to hide.
Elements Order
You can change the order of the After Content Elements. Use the section WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Posts > Single > Elements Order. Drag and drop elements to reorder.
